Our Mission & Purpose

The Vision Statement 

 

The Consolidated Saint Marion Baptist District Association is a Christ-centered Bible based group of churches.  We are committed to kingdom building through holistic ministries. We are committed to ENVISIONING our Savior Jesus Christ, ENLARGING our work and EVANGELIZING the lost. Additionally, we desire to empower all believers in Christ to fulfill their God given purpose in life

 

THE MISSION STATEMENT

 

It is our desire as a Baptist District Association to be actively involved laboring together with our member churches to promote home and foreign missions, support Arkansas Baptist College, Christian education and preparation for our delegates to do the redemptive work of Christ through our local churches.

 

Purposes

 

The Consolidated Saint Marion Baptist District Association wasbformed to unite district Baptist churches so as to fulfill the great Commission of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through teaching, preaching, and reaching. To encourage and support Christian Education and promote home and foreign mission efforts. 
To provide direction and training in Christian education for member churches in order to further the 
Association’s mission. 

 

Vision and Mission Statement of the Congress of Christian Education

 

The Congress of Christian Education  is the teaching arm of the Association. It includes classes, lectures and group discussion panels targeted and relevant to every age group and every area of the Christian Church and Ministry. Our mission is to develop and interpret to the educational objectives and goals of the Association in the area of Christian education. Therefore we are responsible for studying the educational needs of the Association. We are committed to:
 
  • Developing a comprehensive, coordinated, and unified Christian education program that is consistent with the President’s vision, the teaching mission and objectives of the congress and the standards and programs of the Baptist denomination
  • Deciding on time schedules for workshops and seminars
  • Enlisting and training all church educational leaders
  • Unifying, supervising and promoting all educational interests of the convention
  • Providing effective overall educational ministries to churches & leaders
  • Improving educational services through Christian Education and the various ministries and organizations of the Association
  • Seeking professional growth through leadership training
  • Maintaining resources through our Sunday School Publishing Board of the NBC, USA., Inc.

 

 

Vision and Mission Statement of the Laymen

In order that Laymen's Auxiliary may meet the demands, which God and the church impose upon them, they must organize themselves into meaningful, purposeful groups. These groups must have a firm foundation, purpose and a clear direction in formulating objectives. 
 
  • To enlist and coordinate the manpower of the local congregation for an effective performance of essential Christian activities.
  • To cultivate the Christian life of laymen through study, worship, fellowship and service.
  • To enlist un-churched men for fellowship in and service through the church and to bring unsaved men into vital relations with God in Christ through personal commitment to Him.
  • To inspire men to support the total program of the Church in the local congregation, the community, the denomination and the world.

 

 

Vision and Mission Statement of the Women

The Women’s Auxiliary is established to help women grow in their knowledge of scripture and become better equipped to use their spiritual gifts in the kingdom of God.  There are supplementary resources to develop women for Bible Study, Evangelism, and Ministry; all for the benefit of the body of Christ and God’s glory.
 
  • Encourage women to have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ
  • Encourage women to study the Word of God and develop a deeper prayer life
  • To develop unity and purpose among the women of the District Association
  • To help women see themselves as God sees them
  • To equip women to nurture and serve in their families

 

Vision and Mission Statement of the Young People's Department

The mission of the Young People's Department is to provide the necessary resources to develop mission-minded young people's and youth leaders to empower society through mission, evangelism and education, enabling them to fulfill the Great Commission as mandated by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through preaching, teaching and discipleship.  Its purpose is to challenge Young People's to engage in Christian Service in the church, in the community, or in a larger mission at home or abroad. 

 

  1. Act as an agent for reconciliation and for the expression of Baptist principles throughout the world.
  2. Develop and train young people to effectively lead the church, equipping them with the necessary  tools needed to meet the challenges facing this generation.
  3. Create a holistic approach to ministry, calling Baptist young people to total commitment and spiritual accountability.
  4. Help young people recognize the individual opportunities and responsibility in the worldwide  mission of the church
  5. Provide opportunity for Baptist young people to know each other better and thus work cooperatively to fulfill the Great Commission.
